About Us

The New Zealand Artificial Limb Board (NZALB) is a Crown entity and single national provider of prosthetic limbs services to New Zealand amputees.

Our services include the provision, fitting and maintenance of artificial limbs, and rehabilitation support.

We provide these services through five Limb Centres:

Limb Centres also run regional clinics to reach other areas.

NZALB national office is located in Wellington, running corporate affairs, including advice to the Minister of Social Development on matters relating to artificial limbs and similar devices.

NZALB is constituted under the Social Welfare (Transitional Provisions) Act 1990, and is required to comply with the Public Finance Act 1989.
